I would like to congratulate you most cordially on the Tenth Anniversary of the founding of the  American Research Center in Sofia, for which you have the responsibility of being members of its Board of Trustees.

I sincerely share this very festive moment with you, with your entire creative team of specialists, with all your supporters, partners, fellows, kindred spirits and friends, and I celebrate together with you your successes, even though on this day I am thousands of kilometers away from Bulgaria.

For the results of your work and dedication I can speak in first person, because I personally had the pleasure of partnering with you in several initiatives. I can say without any reservation that scale, long-term vision, excellent planning and organization are ARCS’ charasteristic style. I wish you success in not only maintaining but also in continuing to convey to all with whom you have contact your ways of thinking and style of work.

I would like emphasize in particularyour extraordinary respect for the deep human ideals and eternal values for which many Bulgarians have suffered, even in our most recent history. Because of the pursuit of these ideals, today we have an enormous concentration of our compatriots who came to the West from our homeland, including those living in the most Bulgarian city in North America - Chicago. Your work for the recognition of our ancient national roots, for the promotion of our rich culture and global merits, for the enhancing of the authority of our country and our nation, is helping many of our contemporary immigrants to remain Bulgarians forever.

I wish you to keep up your energy and contagious enthusiasm for building bridges, both back to our ancient and more recent history from which we can draw the necessary lessons for our future, and also between people, regardless on which side of the Atlantic Ocean their home is and what language they speak.
