During a five-day tour, September 22 - 26, ARCS Fellows had an opportunity to visit many important sites around central Bulgaria. Visits included tours to Batak, Plovdiv, Asenovgrad, Bachkovo monastery, Stara Zagora, Kazanlak, Shipka memorial church and pass, Buzludzha, and Veliko Tarnovo. The Fellows took turns providing indepth site presentations, which lead to many fruitful discussions.
