ARCS WESTERN BULGARIA TOUR

As part of the 2014 Fall Academic Program, ARCS Fellows toured Western Bulgaria visiting the archeological site of Kraka outside of Pernik, the Georgi Dimitrov Memorial House in Kovachevtsi, and the Zemen Monastery before reaching Kyustendil. The students spent a full day touring Kyustendil with local guide Ivan Sapunjiev, including the museum to Dimitar Peshev, the "Master"- Vladimir Dimitrov art galary, and the regional history Museum. The group stopped to see the Kadin bridge outside of Nevestino on the way to the spectacular Rila Monastery.
