Opportunities for Collaboration (ICAB)

The foundation of the ICAB program is collaboration between scholars based in Bulgarian institutions on the one hand, and those based in US institutions on the other. ARCS regularly solicits from the Bulgarian archaeological community expressions of interest in collaborative research projects. Please find below the titles of the proposed projects as well as contact information for the Bulgarian principal investigators; brief descriptions of these projects (typically including site description, excavation history, principal bibliography, and current research questions) are available for download at the bottom of the page.

If you are interested in developing a formal ICAB application based on one of the projects proposed below, please contact directly the Bulgarian principal investigator or Dr. Emil Nankov, Archaeology Program Officer, ARCS (apo@arcsofia.org).
