Board of Trustees
The American Research Center in Sofia is served by a Board of Trustees exercising all powers of the corporation, including:
- Operation and maintenance of Center property;
- Investment of the Center’s endowment;
- Approval of budgets and appointments;
- General advocacy and fundraising on behalf of the Center.

- Professor Kevin Clinton, Cornell University, Co-Founder of ARCS and President of the Board of Trustees
- Dr. Nora Dimitrova, Co-Founder of ARCS, former volunteer Director of the ARCS U.S. office
- Mr. Philip Dimitrov, EU Ambassador to the Republic of Georgia; former Prime Minister of Bulgaria and Ambassador of Bulgaria to the United States
- Professor Elizabeth Gebhard, University of Illinois, Chicago
- Professor Bogomil Gerganov, Pacific Lutheran University
- Mr. James Pardew, former US Ambassador to Bulgaria
